Ingredients:
For the Sugar Cookie Crust:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 and 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Cinnamon Apples:
- 2 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (to prevent browning)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Cinnamon Streusel Topping:
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
For the Topping:
- 1/3 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line it with parchment paper. - Make the sugar cookie crust:
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until a dough forms. - Shape and bake the crust:
Press the sugar cookie dough evenly into your prepared pizza pan, smoothing it out to the edges.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Do not overbake—it should be soft in the center. Let cool slightly while preparing the toppings. - Prepare the apples:
In a bowl, toss the thinly sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon until evenly coated. - Make the streusel topping:
In a small bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add the cold, cubed butter and use your fingers or a fork to work it into the dry mixture until coarse crumbs form. - Assemble the pizza:
Layer the cinnamon apples evenly over the partially cooled cookie crust. Sprinkle the cinnamon streusel over the apples. - Bake again:
Return the assembled pizza to the oven and bake for another 15–18 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the streusel is golden and crisp. - Add caramel and serve:
Let the dessert pizza cool for 10–15 minutes. Drizzle the caramel sauce generously over the top just before serving.
Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
